WORKSHOPS and HOLIDAYS

• Summer Writing Days start later July and continue in August in mid-Surrey. For dates and topics see Workshops etc
• Chris has four holidays arranged so far for 2010: Thurs 18-Mon 22 March in St Peter Port, Guernsey was at Les Cotils. Another in the Cotswolds is for writing friends of Chris and Judy, by popular request (17-21 May). A third is at Lee Abbey on the stunning Exmoor coast of N Devon, 12-16 July and the fourth at Brunel Manor, Torquay, 18-22 October. • ‘Writing from Life’ groups - see Workshops etc for more information. These groups will re-start in late September in mid-Surrey on Monday evenings and Wednesday mornings. Bookings being taken by Chris now.

CHRIS’ OWN WRITING

Chris‘ new book was published by SPCK on 22nd October and she is very pleased with the way it has come out. In a similar format to ‘Waiting’, with reflections, true stories and prayers, this book is about ‘Holding on and Letting Go’. email Chris if you would like a copy, price £8.99, with free postage within the UK

The ‘launch’ was on 8^th November – Remembrance Sunday. Worship at both the 9.00 and 10.45am Sunday morning services at Bookham Baptist Church were led by Chris and storytelling from the book (and more!) replaced a sermon. People found it very moving.

Stories needed!
Chris is starting to collect stories for another book to be published by SPCK is for those on the edges of faith. It will have a similar format with true stories and is called ‘Is God for Real?’ - so if you have any good stories about that, please email Chris

Bible notes
 Now Chris has written another month’s worth of notes for CWR’s Inspiring Women Every Day series and two sets of 14 days for BRF’s Day by Day with God. BRF’s have the themes ‘Known by Name’and‘A Costly Hope’ and CWR’s, which will appear over Easter 2011, ‘The Cross’.

Chris’ previous book:

 ‘Waiting: reflections, stories, prayers’ was published in August, 2008 by SPCK. It costs £8.99, though Chris can supply copies at a discount to nearly 50 people who contributed true stories etc to the book.

 The ISBN is 978-0-281-05891-4 and the book should be available from SPCK’s website, all good Christian bookshops and some other outlets as well as from Chris, post free.
